Riccardo Bruno
Born in Naples in 1959, he holds a Degree (cum laude) in Electrical Engeneering in 1982 from University of Naples and MBA major in Finance from the American University of Washington, D.C.
Riccardo is Professor of Structured Finance at Luiss University (Master of Science in Management, major in Corporate Finance) and has taught in the past Capital Markets at Luiss University (Master of Science in Business Management) and Economics of Fianiancial Markets and Institutions at Luiss Management School.
He serves currently as Indipendent Board Member in Atlantia SpA (chairing the HR & Remunaration Committee),, in Credito Emiliano SpA (also Member of the Risk and Indipendent Board Member Committees) and in Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A..
He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors and of the Sustainability Committee in Neodecortech S.p.A. , decor paper italian market leader listed in the Star segment of Borsa Italiana and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Bizplace Holding srl (start up/venture capital advisory boutique).
He has founded Capital Insight Partners srl in February 2019, an independent Advisory firm operating in the Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance&Private Equity Advisory, where he serves as Founder and Managing Director.
From December 2008 until February 2017 Riccardo has been Senior Partner and a Board Member of Clessidra Sgr - the leading Italian Private Equity Sponsor - and during 8 years has significantly contributed to the investment strategy and portfolio management of the Clessidra Capital Funds I, II and 3. In terms of Board membership, Riccardo has served until February 2017 as Managing Director and Executive Board Member of Clessidra Sgr, Deputy Chairman of Harmont&Blaine spa, Member of the Board in Istituto Centrale Banche Popolari (ICBPI) and in Cartasì.
In the past years he has served as Chairman of Lauro 54 (Clessidra investment company in Camfin/Pirelli), Chairman of Lauro 61 – the partnership among Clessidra, Tronchetti Provera, Unicredit and Intesa which launched the Public Tender Offer on Camfin - and Chairman of Camfin spa; he has also been Board Member of Pirelli spa and of Cin Tirrenia until 2014. Riccardo has also served as Executive Chairman of Lauro 42, the investment company through which the acquisition of Prima Asset Management Sgr, the merger with Anima sgr and the Ipo of Anima Holding has been executed.
Before Clessidra, from 2000 till 2008, he served as Managing Director at Deutsche Bank AG and Member of the European Corporate Finance Management Committee as Country Head Responsible for Corporate and Investment Banking in Italy; during the period has been Central Director for Deutsche bank Spa , Member of the management Board of Deutsche Bank AG Milan Branch and Board Member of REEF Opportunities Management , Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank SIM and of Deutsche Bank Capital Markets and Deputy Chairman of Charme Investments SA.
Prior to Deutsche Bank, Riccardo was Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Cofiri Group for ten years (1990-2000) leading the Group activities in the field of Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Leasing & Factoring actively participating in the implementation of major restructuring and privatization operations undertaken by IRI Group. In this period he has served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and/or Board Member on the Board of many Group entities such as Cofiri SIM (Ceo and then Deputy Chairman),Cofiri Factor&Leasing (Member of Board and Executive Committee, Cofiri International, Cofiri Invest, Cofiri Sovis (Chairman), SASA Assicurazioni, SASA Vita, GI GEST sgr, ADR Holding, SPI, Meridiana Finanza.
Riccardo started his career in Banca Nazionale del Lavoro (1985-2000) where he had the Capital Market & Corporate Finance responsibility for five years.
